We may be able to help you get out of an unpleasant and dangerous situation.

Usually we firstly write a “warning letter” to the other party asking them to stop their behaviour towards you and informing them that if they do not, you will take further action through the Courts.

If after the letter the behaviour continues we would advise you to apply to the Court for an “injunction” Order. The two common types of Order are:-

1) A Non-Molestation Order - It forbids the other party from:

a) Using or threatening violence,
b) Intimidating, harassing or pestering you.
It would forbid the other party getting anyone else to harass you on their behalf. It can have a “power of arrest” attached if you have been subjected to violence

2) An Occupation Order - This Order asks the other party to leave home. The Court will consider the needs of all involved, the behaviour of the other party and whether the other party has anywhere else to live.
Note: These are Court Orders. They are not available on demand.

You may be entitled to public funding depending on your circumstances.
