Andrew Stevenson, head of our Wills and Probate Team at our Eden Court office, appeared on BBC Radio Nottingham on Tuesday 21 September. He was in the studio answering questions about Lasting Powers of Attorney during a live phone in on Frances Finn's show.
Andrew said "A Lasting Power of Attorney is a document that authorises a person to deal with someone else's affairs. There are two different types of LPAs, one to cover your financial affairs, and one dealing with healthcare and personal welfare. Hopefully, you will never need to use your LPA, but preparing one is a way of making sure that, in the event of your incapacity, you will have chosen the person to represent you." He added "The show was fun and it is always good to help people to look after themselves."
