Local Roots & Experience

Hopkins takes pride in being a local firm that caters to local people. Our history began in Sutton in Ashfield in 1913 and over the century, we opened more offices in Mansfield and Nottingham. Throughout the years, we have continued to learn, grow and adapt to ensure we give our clients the highest level of service possible. Through our ability to adapt to our client’s needs and expand our areas of legal expertise, we are now one of the strongest firms in North Nottinghamshire.

But it’s much more than strength that defines Hopkins. It’s about our genuinely friendly, down-to-earth, personal approach.

We know walking into a solicitor’s office for the first time can be extremely daunting, so we want to make sure our clients feel comfortable enough to tell us their story, trust and confide in us about the truth and their concerns, and listen to the honest advice we give them. We choose our staff not only for their legal expertise but also for their ability to build strong, lifelong personal relationships with our clients that span generations. The entire Hopkins team are committed to providing the best personal client care and our Managing Partner personally reads the comments our clients write on our customer satisfaction survey.

We are proud that the quality of our service has been recognised by the Law Society with the prestigious LEXCEL standard, which is only given to solicitors’ firms that meet the highest standards of management and customer care.

Hopkins held the Investors In People standard from 2003 to 2022 and were acknowledged by the local business community for our high standards by winning the 2015 Mansfield Chad Business Awards, Customer Care Business of the Year. Being a part of and serving our local community is one of our top priorities and we take pride in being recognised for this.

Supporting Local Charities

Hopkins supports multiple charities, both locally and nationally and our teams take part in various fundraising events throughout the year. We also work very closely with local charities that support our clients that are most in need – including those who help the homeless and those who have been, or are going through cases of domestic violence. We believe it’s part of our job to lend a hand to those in need where we can.

Many of our Partners and Solicitors also sit on boards to help local schools and charities understand how to best responsibly support their local community.
