Martyn has over 25 years’ experience in law and joined Hopkins straight from Law College as a Trainee Solicitor and later qualified as a Solicitor in 1998.
He has been the Managing Director at Hopkins for the last 15 years and is responsible for the management of all of the offices with particular responsibility for compliance, strategy and finance.
Martyn has spent the majority of his career in Commercial Property and still has a portfolio of clients, dealing with a wide range of commercial transactions.
He is an active member of the wider Mansfield business community, a former Chairman of Hucknall Round Table, a proud former chair of the John Eastwood Hospice Trust, and a current Member of a local fundraising group known as the Armchair Club.
Having been involved in Hockey for most of his sporting life he can be found, during his spare time at weekends and during the week, coaching at Newark Hockey Club.

I played Hockey at Newark Hockey Club for 20 years and still assist with umpiring, and supporting the junior section. I completed the London Triathlon on 4 occasions and am a keen follower of most sports and attended 3 Olympic Games in a supporting capacity!
