I was drawn to commercial work because of the people. I enjoy learning about their businesses and how I can assist in turning them into success stories.
Martyn has over 20 years’ experience in law and joined Hopkins straight from Law College as a Trainee Solicitor and later qualified as a Solicitor in 1998.
He has been Managing Partner of Hopkins for the last 10 years and is responsible for the management of the all four offices with particular responsibility for compliance, strategy and finance.
Martyn also heads our Residential Property Department whilst specialising in Commercial Property, and has a portfolio of Property Developer clients where he deals with all aspects of Residential and Commercial Development Projects.
He is an active member of Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 Ltd, a former Chairman of Hucknall Round Table, Current Vice-Chair of the John Eastwood Hospice Trust, Member of the Armchair Club.

Hobbies
I played Hockey at Newark Hockey Club for 20 years and still assist with umpiring, and supporting the junior section. I completed the London Triathlon on 4 occasions and am a keen follower of most sports and attended 3 Olympic Games in a supporting capacity!
