Hopkins events raise money for Children in Need

Hopkins Solicitors hosted a fun-filled week of activities to raise over £241 for this year’s Children in Need appeal.

The Great Hopkins Bake Off

The staff at our Mansfield office started the week with ‘The Great Hopkins Bake Off’, and demonstrated some excellent baking skills with a whole host of cakes, buns and baked goods entered into the competition. Our judges, Rob Siderfin and Craig Ploughman, took on the ‘difficult’ task of sampling all the entries and deciding on a winner. The eventual winner was our Managing Partner, Martyn Knox, who produced some pretty tasty scones filled with strawberry jam and clotted cream. All cakes went on sale to staff following the competition and raised £43 for Children in Need.

The Big Hopkins Movie Quiz

We like a quiz here at Hopkins and this time the focus was ‘favourite movies’! Staff from our Nottingham and Mansfield offices took on the challenge to match movies to their owners, and to discover just how well we know our fellow colleagues. The quiz was won by Dee Morris with an impressive 12/31 correct. The quiz raised £47 for Children in Need, as well as a few eyebrows!

Craig’s 24 Fruit and Veg Challenge

Following his many years of eating nothing that even resembled a fruit or vegetable, Craig took on the challenge to eat nothing but fruit and veg for 24 hours. The staff at Eden Court were so excited to see him take on this challenge (and suffer) that they sponsored Craig a fantastic £135 to complete his challenge. Following his day of pineapple and pomegranate, Craig completed his challenge and celebrated with a big bar of chocolate!

Everyone at Hopkins got behind this years Children in Need appeal and raised a fantastic £241 for the very worthy cause!
