Hopkins Solicitors support Resolution’s ‘Family Dispute Resolution week’, running 25th to 29th November 2013.
Resolution are holding the awareness week to highlight the benefits of dispute resolution processes, and how they can provide separating couples and families with an alternative to court proceedings.
Resolution, of which Hopkins Solicitors is a member, is an organisation made up of family law solicitors. It aims to promote the benefits of constructive, non-confrontational approaches to dispute resolution. Such approaches, including mediation, negotiation and collaborative law, bring couples together to agree outcomes which are positive for all parties.
David Winnett, head of family law at Hopkins, is a trained mediator and collaborative law solicitor. In support of DR week, David commented, “Hopkins is pleased to support Resolution’s awareness week. It provides much needed coverage to dispute resolution and promotes the benefits of the process.”
“Mediation and collaboration can prevent separating couples from having to face the financial and emotional stress of court proceedings; DR week highlights the options available for clients, and that it is possible to work together to find practical, positive solutions.”
