Full-Time Legal Receptionist / Typist
Looking for a role where you can make a difference?
Are you friendly, organised and enjoy working with people? Do you have good typing skills and want to be part of a busy, supportive and forward-thinking law firm?
At Hopkins Solicitors, we’re looking for a welcoming and enthusiastic Legal Receptionist / Typist to join our team.
You’ll be the friendly face and voice of the firm, helping to create a great first impression for our clients while providing valuable administrative and typing support to our legal teams.
Previous experience working in a solicitors’ practice would be desirable, but we’re particularly interested in someone with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a willingness to get stuck in and be a team player!
What will you be doing?
- Welcoming clients and visitors to the office and ensuring they receive a friendly and professional service.
- Answering incoming telephone calls, directing enquiries and taking accurate messages.
- Managing incoming and outgoing post and general reception duties.
- Typing letters, emails and legal documents.
- Assisting with digital dictation and audio typing.
- Providing general administrative support to solicitors and legal secretaries.
- Maintaining an organised and professional reception area.
- Handling confidential client information with discretion and care.
- Helping the wider team whenever additional support is needed.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with clients and visitors.
- Experienced in reception and administration, ideally within a solicitors’ practice.
- A confident typist with good accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computers and willing to learn new systems.
- Able to assist with audio/digital dictation.
- Organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities.
- A good communicator with a professional telephone manner.
- A team player who is happy to roll up their sleeves and help others.
A background in a legal environment would be an advantage, but a great attitude and the right approach to customer service are just as important.
