Employment Law Paralegal or CILEx Equivalent

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a diligent and motivated person to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for employment law and demonstrate a keen interest in supporting our fee earners in delivering high-quality legal representation to our clients within the employment law department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist fee earners in drafting a variety of legal documents, including tribunal applications, bundles, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Review and analyse legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to employment law cases.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research on various employment law matters, such as discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and employment contracts
  • Liaise effectively with clients, witnesses, and relevant parties to gather necessary information and evidence and respond in a prompt and concise manner.
  • Maintain meticulous case files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and organization at all times.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to fee earners, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and preparing correspondence.
  • Stay abreast of changes and developments in employment law and related regulations, and assist in keeping the team informed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field such as CILEx
  • Proven experience working as a paralegal and/or in an employment law practice.
  • Sound understanding of employment law principles, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, with proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and time management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine interest in employment law and a commitment to professional development.

Salary: negotiable depending on experience

Reporting To: Head of Department

Working Hours: Full-Time Monday - Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm
