Legal Secretary – Family Law

Due to ongoing expansion, we are currently looking to recruit a Full-time experienced Legal Secretary for our Family Department at our Sutton in Ashfield office.

 It is desired that the successful candidate will have experience in working in a Family department and have the experience and desire to assist the department.  A background in Family work is desired but not essential.

The ideal candidate for this role must have the following:

  • Up to 2 years’ experience of working in a Family Law Department
  • a strong desire to learn

  • a smart and tidy appearance
  • excellent attention to detail
  • IT competent
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance

The successful Family Law Legal Secretary will undertake duties including but not limited to:

  • Assisting solicitors in the Family department
  • Creating bundles
  • Typing correspondence
  • Diary Management
  • Audio typing & word processing through Digital Dictation
  • Administrative duties
  • Filing
  • Photocopying
  • Assisting other members of the department as required
  • Presentation of correspondence and documents
  • Liaising with Clients and other parties
  • Covering reception during holiday
  • Opening and scanning post

Details

Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield

Salary: £21,500

End date: 31/01/23

Reporting To: Head of Department

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.00pm with 1 hour for lunch
