Legal Receptionist / Typist

Hopkins Solicitors are looking for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Legal Receptionist / Typist to join our welcoming team. This is a varied role where you’ll be the first point of contact for our clients, helping to make their experience with us a positive one, while also supporting our fee earners with typing and general office administration.

What the role involves:

  • Greeting clients in person and on the phone with a warm, professional manner
  • Answering calls, taking clear messages and directing enquiries to the right person
  • Typing up legal documents and correspondence accurately and efficiently
  • Providing general administrative support across the office
  • Assisting with diary management, appointments and meeting arrangements
  • Keeping the reception area neat, tidy and inviting

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone with previous office or legal experience (legal secretarial/reception background is a bonus)
  • Strong typing and IT skills, with good attention to detail
  • A friendly, professional telephone manner and excellent people skills
  • The ability to stay organised and manage a busy workload
  • A team player with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Experience in Family Law would be an advantage

Details

Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield

Salary: £23,809.50 per annum

End date: 30/11/25

Reporting To: Head of Department

Working Hours: Full-Time Monday - Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm with 1 hour for lunch

Benefits: Pension Scheme, 25 days holiday (4 of which are to be used for Christmas), plus bank holidays, holiday purchase scheme
