Louisa Byford

Paralegal

A Personal Injury and Medical Negligence Paralegal that puts her clients at ease with her caring nature and attention to detail.

Louisa Byford grew up in Hertfordshire and in September 2023 she graduated from the University of Hertfordshire. A month later she moved to Nottingham and joined Hopkins Solicitors Personal Injury & Medical Negligence Team at our Nottingham City Centre office on Regent Street & Ropewalk Chambers.

She has a passion for medical and clinical negligence claims and is an avid follower of the UK campaign known as Dignity in Dying.

When asked why she chose a career in law she said, “I stumbled upon law whilst doing my A-levels and found a real interest in the topic. Whilst at University I really developed my passion for the subject and the idea of helping support people through their legal claims. When studying at University I took Medical Law, which I found a real interest in, all the topics require deep thinking and a good ability to research which are my key skills.”

Hobbies

I really enjoy making food from scratch and the ability to get creative in the kitchen. And I am a very sociable person and I love to chat anyone’s ear off, I don't think my social dial ever turns off. I like to get outside, go for walks and really explore my new hometown of Nottingham. I am really enjoying this city and its culture!
