Enjoys working with people to help them understand their rights

Priya joined our Hopkins under a training contract in July 2021 and qualified as a solicitor in July 2023. She started working from our head office in Mansfield within our Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate department, then worked closely within our Family Law Team in our Sutton-in-Ashfield office which not only specialises in traditional divorces and children arrangement matters, but also with cases of a much more sensative nature sure as domestic abuse and social services matters. She also worked at our Head office, Eden Court in Mansfield, learning the ropes within both our residential and commercial property teams. After her training, she decided that she most enjoyed working with the clients and cases in our Wills and Probate Team, and is now permanently working in that team, from our Head office in Mansfield.

Priya grew up in Derby and studied at the University of Nottingham where she completed a 3-year undergraduate degree in Law and completed her LPC.

When asked why she chose a career in law, specifically as a solicitor she said:
“In the past, I’ve had various customer service roles and through this I knew I enjoyed working with people. Therefore, I wanted to enter a profession where I could both work with people and also help them to understand their rights.”
