Michal Zawislak

Associate Solicitor

Michal studied law at De Montfort University in Leicester and following his graduation joined Hopkins as a Trainee Solicitor in November 2019. He also completed his master’s degree in Legal practice at BPP University in Birmingham during his Training Contract.

Michal is an Associate Solicitor in our Personal Injury team who is recognised by his clients for excellent communication and negotiation skills.

He spent most of his training in our Personal Injury and Medical Negligence Department and has years of experience in this area of law, as well as in medical negligence. He is based at our Nottingham City Centre office on Regent Street and consistently receives excellent feedback about his attention to detail, friendly manner and his passion for helping those who have been wrongly injured or fallen ill. His hard work has been recognised with a promotion to Associate Solicitor in April 2023. He also holds an accreditation status with APIL as a Litigator since 2023.

In addition, Michal is fluent in both spoken and written Polish and is passionate about supporting the Nottinghamshire-based Polish community. He offers legal assistance to injured clients in Polish and is committed to helping individuals from other communities whose first language may not be English, ensuring they feel at ease and able to access justice without language barriers. Michal can also support colleagues across the firm by providing Polish-to-English translation on a wide range of matters, including property conveyancing, wills and probate, family matters such as divorce and children arrangement orders, housing, and general civil litigation.

When asked why he chose to go into law:
“I always felt the desire to help others in need and to work in a fast-paced environment. I believe that offering legal support and help to those who were injured and find themselves at a very difficult turn in their life is the best way to use my legal knowledge. I am pleased to be able to utilise my communication skills and help clients to recover compensation for the wrongdoings they suffered.”
